God is calling us to dream again and explore afresh how we can creatively use the gifts He has given us. We are convinced that there is much more that God could do with our musical skills. Since the Musicians Network began in early 2008, many have begun taking new initiatives: some are putting on imaginative concerts, improvised events, times of prayer / intercession / lament; others are taking their music onto the streets, into hospitals, care homes & businesses. We believe God is encouraging us to look for new opportunities to reach out into our needy world.
This call is to help each other to explore all sorts of new ideas - motivating and inspiring, encouraging and releasing each other as we seek God and as we allow ourselves to be stretched n our expectation of how God can use us. It is also a call to support each other through prayer and fellowship together, and to pray for a fresh move of God’s Spirit in the classical music profession.
The Musicians Network is not seeking to be an organisation with fixed membership who do most things together, but a network of people who can draw on each other’s experience & gifts as we seek to serve God as musicians in a variety of different ways.
We have regular informal gatherings in various parts of the country where we can meet together to support, encourage and pray for each other. Newsletters are sent out regularly by email to those who would like to be kept up to date with news of meetings and other activities. We also have an email discussion list which is providing a great opportunity to share ideas and news with each other as well as to share requests for prayer.
